One Weeks Shopping Haul

Due to my current state of unemployment, I haven’t really been spending to my normal extent, its fair to say I can easily get carried away when it comes to clothes. But alas, I decided it was about time to part with a little cash, ready for my upcoming holiday to Devon. So here are some of my favourite bits from my recent spree!

Firstly, I think I need to talk about my obsession with Anthropologie…not only am I forever swooning over their dreamy online site, I recently lost my Anthropologie Regent Street store virginity… and yep, it was as amazing as I’d hoped. As stores go I think this is the most beautiful I have ever been in. The only way I think I could describe it is like a spring/summer Narnia-esk creation… I don’t know, it’s just amazingly beautiful! So naturally I couldn’t leave without buying something! Now, I’m a sucker for homeware and Anthropologie homeware is undoubtedly up their with my favourites, I’m seriously scared for how much I will spend when I actually have my own house. But until then I only buy little bits here and there, like this gorge tropical dinner plate. I think this is really going to brighten up my table and I can’t wait to bake some cute little treats or maybe make something really summery to put on it. I will get thinking of what to do. This plate is actually plastic although it doesn’t look it at all, so it is so perfect for alfresco dining or picnics which of course I love! I know this is a non-clothing item, but I really wanted to talk about it because I just love it!

Right from here on I’m talking clothes.

I’ve been browsing Olive’s online store for a few months now, just waiting for the perfect opportunity to make a purchase. I’ve also been enjoying the brand’s Instagram posts, they are killing the flat lays! For those of you who aren’t familiar with Olive, it is a contemporary British lifestyle brand, who collaborate with a variety of independent designers, producing unique and eclectic garments for both men and women… I highly recommend checking them out.

I didn’t want to overdo it on my first order, so limited myself to two items (which was so hard because of course I wanted everything). The first item I got was this cactus stitch tee in pink. The pink is a definite dusty pink which I really like, but most of all I am obsessed with the adorable little cactus stitches, how friggin cute are they!!! Secondly, I opted for a three quarter length sleeve striped tee with a square neckline which I always think looks really flattering. Again I went for dusty pink which is so not like me but I wanted to feel a bit more summery. They do both styles in various colour options (making my decision even harder).

Now that my order’s arrived I wish I’d bought more because they are both really nice quality and fit well. I was slightly worried about the sizing because everything is one size (S/M), but they both fit great.

I really liked the packaging! I think nice packaging really adds to the whole shopping experience, making the order feel that extra bit special.

As I mentioned earlier I’m going away on a family trip to Devon and next on my to buy list were new sunglasses, denim shorts and pyjamas. I can’t tell you how much I LOVE buying new pyjamas!!!!!! Especially from M&S! I got these beauties in the sale for £18 down from £30, they’re from the Rosie for Autograph range and are so gorge.

My sunglasses were also a sale bargain! I wanted some round glasses because my other ones broke. These are from Urban Outfitters and were £5 down from £18.

Originally I ordered shorts from Levis but they came and I just didn’t like the fit. So in a rush a day before my holiday I ordered a pair from Asos and I really like them! They’re high waisted and not too short which is exactly what I look for in shorts. These were £19 in the sale down from £28. I don’t think I’ve ever bought this much in the sales before!! leaving everything last minute has really worked out for me money wise.

So this item wasn’t on my list.

Anyone who knows me knows that I never ever wear lipstick. So this last purchase was a big deal for me! I don’t know why I’ve just never liked the feel of lipstick on my lips and I always feel like my lips are too small for it. But so far I’m getting on OK with this one. This is in the colour Mehr (so reflects how I feel about it).

No but seriously, I really like this colour, it’s quite natural looking so not too out there for a beginner like me. I’m hoping I will get used to seeing myself with lipstick on and will progress to more colours!

Hey, thanks so much! I’m really enjoying developing my blog so I’m so pleased you like it. I payed for my layout through Pipdig, they have loads of amazing layouts and they install it all so you so you don’t have to deal with all the complicated code stuff. I payed to have my own domain name and I got my hosting package from Siteground, Pipdig recommend this company because they then install it all for you when you buy a template… I’m not sure if I’m making much sense but basically I recommend checking out Pipdig’s website because they explain it all a lot better than I just have. Hope that helps 🙂 thanks for the comment. xx
